In search of snow

We live by the sea. Snow doesn't lie here and stay for long, the way it does where I grew up (inland, surrounded by countryside). Today we drove 10 minutes away from the sea to higher ground and found more snow. The air was crisp, the light was golden and the snow even 'squeaked'. We soaked it up and dreamt of high alpine mountain tops.

Today's winter wonderland has inspired me to release some work from my archive... 'overpainted/mixed media' photographs taken a few years ago in Austrian and Italy whilst skiing. These photographs have been printed on high grade cartridge paper, then have been overworked and overpainted using acrylic paint and inks, creating an original piece of modern abstract art.
